DATA SECURITY POLICY

1. When people join the group or renew their membership, PETERBOROUGH-ELY-NORWICH RAIL USERS GROUP (PENRUG) will ask for their name and contact details. This is in order to communicate with them about membership and to send them information on the activities, campaigns and concerns of the group.

2. PENRUG will not share a member’s personal data with other members or other organisations without their consent.

3. Unless instructed otherwise, PENRUG will stop communicating with members six months after paid up membership ceases. Personal details will be destroyed after that point including letters and emails from or to the individual.

4. Members will only be identified by name in newsletters/emails if their consent is given.

5. All enquiries about personal data held by the group should be addressed to the Secretary. This includes requests for changes to or deletion of personal data.
